    Hi George,
    Thanks for your comments, yes we agree!
    As long as electricity is produced using coal, then gas is a better option in terms of carbon impact. However once the electricity grids become greener, generated by renewable energy, switching to electricity will be the way to go.
    As Henrique talks about in the post, it varies depending on the current carbon intensity of the grid in your region and how long it will take for the grid to transition to green energy.

    I reckon it's time for design leaders to leave gas behind. No real obstacle except for cooking preferences – gas cooktop is hard to beat. But at what cost do we continue to drive demand for – and therefore investment in – gas? If domestic demand fell, would there be sufficient imperitive for CSG? Probably not.
